EVO’s voice assistance is provided by either ‘Jenny’ a female safety assistant or Australian motoring legend Peter Brock, who give spoken alerts to drivers warning them well in advance of approaching hazard locations, such as traffic safety cameras or school safety zones. As driver’s approach hazards, EVO switches to safety assist mode to give both spoken and visual alerts. On approach the display changes colour from blue to red, a hazard icon and speed limit are alternately shown as well as proximity bars and a warning tone, that tells a driver how close they are, increase. At the hazard location all five bars are displayed and the LCD flashes red while playing the warning tone. Drivers need only glance or listen to EVO to ascertain how far away they are from hazard locations and the speed limit at the hazard.
