City Navigator

Free upgrade: If you registered City Navigator Australia or a GPS that came with City Navigator Australia on or after 12 June 2006 there is no charge from Garmin for the upgrade.

Chargeable upgrade: If you registered City Navigator Australia prior to 12 June 06 then an unlock code can be purchased direct from Garmin's website at a cost of US$125 (approx AU$180 + GST).

City Navigator Australia version 7 will require 139 MB of GPS memory to completely load all of Australia onto your GPS. If you have a GPS unit with a smaller memory card then you can either load City Navigator Australia v7 up to the capacity of your memory or you can purchase a larger card and load all of Australia.
 

There are two methods of upgrading, 'do it yourself' or we can do it for you

Do it yourself:

  1. To order your upgrade CD, please go to www.garmin.com/cartography then click 'Map Updates', then click the ‘Order Now’ button, then follow the steps to request an upgrade disk be posted out. You need to have your registration code.
  2. Register and obtain your unlock code from Garmin's website - www.garmin.com/unlock/
    - payment via credit card may be required
  3. Load update CD to your PC, enter unlock code and install v7 maps to your GPS

GPSOZ update service:

We can perform the mapping upgrade for you at our Mona Vale store by bringing in your unit or sending it to us.
We will also upgrade your unit to the latest firmware and our load our latest safety camera location file (nuvi, SP c320, SP i3 only).
For units with a removable memory card (eg SP c320, SP i3, SP2610, GPSmap 276c, SPIII) you can just send us the memory card if you prefer.

Please supply us with your GPS serial number (8 digits)

You must provide your 8 digit coupon code or 7 digit registration code:


 

For customers that have purchased a GPS unit that comes pre-packaged with City Navigator, eg nuvi, SP c320, Quest, SP2610 or iQue your 7 digit registration code can be found on the small yellow piece of paper in the white CD box.

- Unlock code $198, loading fee free, return delivery $10 - Total charge = $208
2. GPSOZ customer who purchased after 12-June-06 and picked up their unit
- Unlock code free, loading fee free, no return delivery - Total charge = Free!
