City Navigator Australia
2009
upgrade options

by
and GPSOZ

Free upgrade: If you purchased a GPS that came with City Navigator Australia on or after 1st May 2008 there is no charge from Garmin for the upgrade.

Chargeable upgrade: If you purchased City Navigator Australia prior to 1 May 2008 then your upgrade would be chargeable.

There are two versions of the City Navigator Australia 2009 mapping;
- The NT version should be ordered for most current units
- Older models may require the non-NT version
Both versions have the same mapping but the NT version creates a smaller map file

The Map Update 2009 Australia NT CD is available to purchase from us for A$99.

Units requiring the non-NT version of the mapping will need to order an upgrade disk in their myGarmin account and generate an unlock code online for US$79.

There are two methods of upgrading, 'do it yourself' or we can do it for you

Do it yourself:

  1. If your upgrade is chargeable then determine which version of the maps you require;
    There are two versions of the mapping, the NT version should be ordered for most current units
    Older models may require the non-NT version of the mapping
    Both versions have the same mapping but the NT version creates a smaller map file
    Contact GPSOZ to purchase. Which version do I require ?

  2. If you believe that your upgrade is free then you will need to create a myGarmin account and register your unit on Garmin's website - details here

  3. Free Map Updates are available as a download
