Free upgrade: If you registered City Navigator Australia or
purchased a GPS that came with City Navigator Australia on or after
1st July 2007 there is no charge from Garmin for the upgrade.
Chargeable upgrade: If you
registered City Navigator Australia prior to 1 July 2007 then an unlock code needs to be purchased from Garmin's website at a cost of US$125 (approx AU$159 + GST).
City Navigator Australia 2008 will require 106 MB or 152 MB
(depending on GPS model) of GPS memory to
completely load all of Australia onto your GPS. If you have a GPS unit with a
smaller memory card then you can either load parts of City Navigator Australia 2008 up to the capacity of your memory or you can
purchase a larger card and load all of Australia.
There are two methods of upgrading, 'do it yourself' or we can do it for you
Do it yourself:
- Create a myGarmin account and register your unit on Garmin's website -

- Order your update CD on Garmin's website via the option in your MyGarmin
account.
- When the CD arrives, log back into your
myGarmin account and obtain
your unlock code

GPSOZ update service:
We can perform the mapping upgrade for you at our
Mona Vale store by bringing in your unit or sending it to us.
We will also
upgrade your unit to the latest firmware and our load our latest safety camera
location file (nuvis, c320, c510, 7200 and zumo only).
For units with a removable memory card (eg SP c320, SP i3, SP2610, GPSmap 276c, SPIII) you can just send us the memory card if
you prefer.
Please supply us with your GPS serial
number (8 or 9 digits)
You must provide your 8 digit coupon code or 7 digit registration code:
(If you have a nuvi 250 or 250w then these units do not come with
codes so please provide your serial number)

For customers that have purchased a GPS unit that comes pre-packaged with City
Navigator, eg nuvi, zumo, c320, SP c510, Quest, SP2610 or iQue your 7 digit registration code can be found on
the small yellow piece of paper in the white CD box.

When sending us your GPS or memory card please supply the following information:
Your name
Return address
Daytime phone number
Email address (if you have one)
GPSOZ receipt number (if you have one)
GPS serial number
Coupon Code (8 digits/letters) or Registration Code (7 digits/letters)
Your myGarmin username and password if unit registered
List any other mapping products loaded and provide unlock codes for these.
